Hermiston senior Jennifer Macias won the Oregon 5A girls 3,000-meter state title Thursday in Eugene, holding off Sherwood's Ilsa Paulson to win by two seconds in a time of 10 minutes, 16.61 seconds.

GOLDENDALE -- Rachel Desmarais' 13.0 time in the 100 led the Connell girls to a team victory in the Lions Club Twilight on Friday in Goldendale.

Roundup: Richland boys sweep Moses Lake, Wenatchee



Colton Casillas (200, 400 meters) and Tyler Noland (1,600, 3,200) were double winners for the Richland boys as they swept Moses Lake and host Wenatchee at a CBL 4A meet. Moses Lake's Tad Harman won the discus with an area-best throw of 157 feet, 6 inches.
