National Weekend Rundown: 11 Things You Need To Know

3. Grant Holloway Jumps Longest HS Jump Since 1989, #3 All-Time

Watch the above video, right now.

Holloway screaming before he even hits the ground is the most fun I've seen a track & field athlete have in a long time, and it's the best long jump in my lifetime. His mark of 25-11½ is the best by a high schooler since 1989; he's now the #3 indoor performer in HS history.

Like his future Florida teammates the Lyleses, Holloway was competing at Virginia Tech on Saturday.

And the long jump is debatably not even his primary event. Holloway is defending indoor national champion in the 60 hurdles and runner-up in the high jump, and can now legitimately lay claim to being the most versatile athlete in the country.
