Westside Classic

Alexa Efraimson scored a solid victory over the field with her clocking of 17:52.   Jordan McPhee of Mt. Rainier placed second in 18:25 and Alissa Pudlitzke of Camas earned third with 18:36.  Alexis Fuller of Union followed in fourth with 18:40 & Elizabeth Oosterhout of Tahoma placed fifth (18: 42) to lead her team to a second place finish behind Camas, which had 29 points. (Tahoma scored 1)  Daryl Phill of Bellarmine Prep took sixth & her team placed third with 83 points.  Other divisional winners ran true to form & included Nicole Goecke of Prairie in 3A (18:46), Reagan Colyer of North Kitsap (19:10) and Sally Larson of Cedar Park Christian, who ran 18:46 & defeated hazel Carr of The Northwest School.

      Wolfgang Beck led Gig Harbor to a 2nd place finish in the Boys’ 4A race with his mark of 15:33 and received support from his teammates Logan Carroll & Tristan Peloquin, who added 3rd & 9th place finishes respectively.  Gig was only three points behind leading Tahoma.   Mark Tedder of Battle Ground garnered second with 15:41 & Colby Gilbert of Skyview followed in 5th with 15:49, which was four seconds ahead of Olympia’s peter Kesting.    Cody Williamson of Shelton scored in the 3A race with 16:16 & Mohamud Abdi of Lindbergh took the 2A title with 16:19 and his team placed second behind Sumner 83 to 89.   Tom Bradley of Blaine received a good battle from Dillon Quintana of Mt. Baker but earned a five second victory with 16:02Charles Wright Academy won the team race in 1A with 101 points, while Columbia River annexed the 3A title with 58.

 

                                                3A/4A at Richland

Katie Knight of North Central zipped home in 17:48 and Kamiakin’s Megan Beauchene earned 2nd in 18:21.  Lindsey Bradley was an overwhelming winner in the 4A race with 18:07.  Kai Wilmot did not run but North Central won both the team & individual titles behind Tanner Anderson (15:13).  John Dressel of Mt. Spokane (15:20) finished 2nd & Keith Williams of NC ran 15:23 for third.  Andrew Gardner of mead blistered the course with his impressive 14:52 leaving Sumner Goodwin well behind despite his more than solid effort in 15:06.  Sean Newcomb of Walla Walla (15:30) edged Logan Giese by two seconds for third.   Central Valley topped Lewis & Clark 52 to 59 in the boys’ 4A team event.

 

                                                                District 1 2A, 3A & 4A at Lakewood

Emily Pittis upset Brittany Gappa of Squalicum in the 2A girls’ race with her time of 18:37, which gave her a 21 second margin over her rival.   Patrick Gibson of Squalicum won convincingly with his mark of 15:41, while Devon Grove of Lake Washington & Conner Johnson of Sehome both dipped under sixteen minutes.   Amy-Eloise Neale raced home alone in 17:13 to easily post the fastest female time of the day.  Katie Bianchini followed her Glacier Peak team mate with 18:02 as GP dominated with a low of 21 points.  Sehome, incidentally, won both the 2A team races.   Connor Jungkuntz of Ferndale was the 3A winner with 16:05 and Chandler Olson of Woodinville ran 18:22 to claim the 4A girls’ title by 24 seconds.  Jamie Coughlin of Garfield topped Aaron Roe of Henry Jackson by four seconds with his 15:36 and Keegan Symmes of Skyline followed in third with 15:51.  Cameron Stanish of Garfield & Jack Griffing both broke sixteen minutes.   The Kamiak boys won the 4A team title and their Roosevelt counterparts topped the girls by edging Snohomish by a point after scoring 112 points.
