The B-E Tigers lived up to their #1 ranking by defeating Sehome 55-73 to win their 2nd state XC Title. The first was in 1967. The Tiger boys lost to Sehome by 5 in the first meet of the season, but then won 10 meets in a row as well as the 3 Course Challenge in Seaside,OR and the Mt. Baker Invite. The B-E boys defended their team championship at the Mt. Baker invitational. They defeated Lk. Stevens by 15 points. Scoring a total of 85. Burlington placed all seven runners in the top 40 of the race with over 200 runners. Patrick Spilsbury and Tyler Armenta placed in the top 20 with Josh Simpson leading the way with an 11th place finish. The boys JV finished 5th with Kyle Barkdull...

The B-E boys defended their title in Divison 2 by over 200 points. They also defeated Tahoma by two points for the overall win in this 100 school invitational. All 7 Varsity runners placed in the top 10 in their races. Liisa Cushing also placed in the top ten in the girls difficult race.
