Bynum is already the state record holder in the 400 meter dash after his big time run at the state championship. It's unclear what the TSSAA policy is on state records, but if Bynum's still eligible to break those records before he begins competing for the Vols, he just improved that state record mark.
46.24 is the second-fastest time run by a high schooler this entire outdoor season. That time only trails Justin Robinson's No. 2 All-Time 44.84.
That's incredible company.
Bynum was a triple state champion in the 100, 200 and 400 meters earlier this month. We're excited to see what he's going to do next on Rocky Top over the next four years.
