The Class of 2016: Bryce Hoppel

The Class of 2016 has the potential to go down as the greatest crop of track and field athletes from one graduating class ever.

A handful of athletes from that year have already won NCAA titles, earned international medals and set new American and World records. We caught up with them as they prepared for their biggest test yet: The U.S. Olympic Trials.

The first episode in our series features 800m specialist and 2019 World Championship fourth-place finisher Bryce Hoppel.

A native of West Texas and a graduate of Midland Senior High School, Hoppel has always had talent.

But in the last few years he's become one of the United States' top hopes at the 800m distance and could very likely make his first Olympic Games in 2021.
