Washington's 3200m state leader, Isaac Benjamin, takes on the most competitive 1 Mile race this season with the hopes of notching a high personal record. After running 8:47 in the 3200m at the Arcadia Invitational, there's no doubt he'll be a key factor on Friday.
This is Sophia Rodriguez's first weekend invitational since winning the Issaquah Icebreaker Invite in a season's best of 5:00.81 in the 1600m. Friday's race will challenge the talented junior's personal record of 4:46.14, set last year at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays.
Carson Godfrey enters the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays as the top entry in both the Discus and shot put. This year, he's been excellent in the shot put with a personal record of 61-2 that ranks #2 in Washington.
The reigning 3A WIAA State 100m champion opened his season last week at the Mount Tahoma Track Festival in 11.07. This week, keep it going in the elite invitation against a highly competitive field.
Washington's 1600m state leader, Cohen Butler, joins Isaac Benjaming in the Elite 1 Mile this Friday. Oregon has already proven to be a successful place for Butler this season after he ran a season's best 4:09.77 in the 1600m.
After Jane Wycoff ran an impressive season's best in the 800m of 2:13 last week, she's joining Sophia Rodriguez in the Elite 1 Mile. This season, she has already run a personal record of 5:00.94 in the mile at the Oregon Relays.
Don't miss Shelby Duah with her teammate, Frankie Skipper, in the 100m hurdles as the two top seeds. At the start of this season, Duah ran a personal record of 14.18 to rank her #3 in Washington.
Frankie Skipper will represent Washington in the fastest heats of the 100m dash and 100m hurdles this Friday. She enters the 100m hurdles as a top seed because of her season's best performance of 14.13.
At the end of March, Kingston Shillito ran a personal record of 9:09 in the 3200m, and he returns to the event for the first time this Friday. In a loaded field of great talent, he could be the 6th boy to break 9 minutes this season.
Senna Burt enters the high jump on Friday undefeated this season with a personal record of 5-4 she set at the end of March. She is currently ranked #3 in Washington and could earn a new personal record this weekend.
