Several Washington high school track and field athletes posted personal records at district championships during the week of May 18.
Mason Bonnett (Mead) cleared 12-0 in the pole vault at the 3A/4A District 6 Championships on May 21, improving from her previous best of 11-1 set in May 2026. The mark places her sixth among 782 athletes in Washington and earned her first place among 37 competitors.
Mark Hogan (Hockinson) ran 11.06 in the 100 meters at the 2A District 4 Championships on May 21, dropping from his previous personal record of 11.63. The time ranks him 115th of 7,971 athletes statewide and placed him seventh of 14 competitors.
Braxton Gozart (Aberdeen) clocked 10.80 in the 100 meters at the 2A District 4 Championships on May 21, improving from his previous best of 11.16. The time set a school record for Aberdeen High School, ranks 32nd among 7,971 Washington athletes, and placed second of 14 competitors.
Natalie Richards (Cheney) ran 14.70 in the 100-meter hurdles at the 3A/4A District 6 Championships on May 21, improving from her previous mark of 15.15. The time established a school record for Cheney Senior High School, ranks 12th of 1,071 athletes in Washington, and won the event among 32 competitors.
Addisyn Bunger (Chiawana) ran 2:15.39 in the 800 meters at the 3A/4A District 6 Championships on May 21, improving from her previous best of 2:19.51 set in May 2026. The time set a school record for Chiawana, ranks 22nd among 2,312 Washington athletes, and placed sixth of 32 competitors.
Kyler Dixon (Seton Catholic) ran 15.82 in the 110-meter hurdles at the 1A District 4 Championships on May 21, improving from his previous personal record of 16.52. The time ranks him 114th of 893 athletes statewide and 18th among 111 seniors, earning third place among eight competitors. Dixon also set a personal record in the 300-meter hurdles, improving from 42.01 to 41.04 at the same meet.
Jace Kummer (Tumwater) clocked 15.89 in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2A District 4 Championships on May 21, improving from his previous best of 16.59. The time ranks him 124th of 893 athletes in Washington and 13th among 177 sophomores statewide, placing fifth of eight competitors.
