LR team shows well at Royal The Star of Grand Coulee Dam Apr 17, 2008

Lake Roosevelt picked up two seconds and a third at the Royal Invitational track meet Saturday.

Nick Ribera placed second in the 3,200-meter run, and also turned in his personal best for that event in 10 minutes, 30 seconds. He shaved 1.1 seconds off his earlier best time of the year.

Also placing second was the Raider girls' 4x400 relay team made up of Jennifer Williams, Cody Proctor, Tiffany Adkins and Kelcee Erickson. The Raider foursome came in at 4:37.29.

Birdtail at state The Star of Grand Coulee Dam Nov 05, 2007

Lake Roosevelt senior Shan Birdtail placed 65th in the state cross country meet Saturday in Pasco.

Birdtail was the lone Raider making it to the state meet. He qualified by placing 15th the previous week in regional action at Chewelah.

Lake Roosevelt runners have one win under their belt and now face the toughest part of their 2007 schedule.

The Raiders won handily Saturday at Tonasket, scoring by a large margin over Cascade and Tonasket.
