Run for the Honeywagon
1/2 mile fun run, 4 mile walk/run, and Half Marathon walk/run
Saturday March 4, 2006 at Nooksack Valley Middle School, 404 W Columbia, Everson, Wa.
Race Information:
Walkers for the half marathon are welcome.
Race day only registration from 8:30 - 9:45 am behind the school in the Activity Building. The half marathon walkers start at 9:00 am. The fun run starts at 9:45, and the 4 mile and half marathon runs start at 10:00.
Runners are please advised that aid stations will be closed down at 12:30 and the finish line timing and facility will close at 1 PM.
Course:
Honeywagon kids run The 1/2 mile fun run for kids takes place at the school. The 4 mile walk/run and half-marathon are on relatively flat, low traffic country roads.
Entry fee: GBRC members - free
All Others - $5.00 ($6.00 Cdn)
Awards
Special awards to top finishers, ribbons to top 4 finishers in each age group, finisher ribbons to all entrants.
Results will be published in the GBRC newsletter, the gbrc website, Northwest Runner, the Bellingham Herald, and the Lynden Tribune. Results will be mailed upon request.
Directions:
Honeywagon finisher From I-5 south: Take Sunset Drive Exit (#255), turn right and go 1 mile to the Hannegan Rd. (3rd light). Turn left on Hannegan, go 6 miles to the East Pole Road, turn right on the Pole Rd., go 6 miles to the east end of Everson.
The school is on the left.
From I-5 north: Take Birch Bay-Lynden Road Exit (#270). Turn left and go east to Lynden. Turn right (south) on the Guide Meridian, go to E. Pole Rd. and turn left, following Pole Rd. to Everson.
