Meet Information
Dear Coach and/or Athletic Director:
You are invited to compete at the 21st annual Moses Lake Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 18th, at Blue Herron Park (formally known as Moses Lake State Park). **We will not be at Hylander Greens Golf Course like last year.** Blue Herron Park is a great place to run and host a cross country race; The park consists of 24 acres of landscaped area, 3 restrooms, picnic shelters, and picnic tables. Overall, the race course will consist of a couple of laps around the perimeter of the grass park and will include a couple of hills. Racing flats/spikes are encouraged. The high school race will be 3 miles and the middle school race will be 1.5 miles in length.
All registered teams and runners need to be signed up on athletic.net. You will receive an e-mail in the fall as a reminder. We are asking a $50 entry fee per high school ($25 for girls team and $25 for boys team) to offset the cost of meet expenses. Middle school teams race free! If you have a middle school team in your area, please pass this information on to them, or even better have them travel with you to the meet; this could be a great recruiting tool for your team.
Awards: We will be giving awards to the top 15 runners in each race division. The 1st place finishers will receive a medal and 2nd -15th placers will receive ribbons. The first place team in the high school varsity races will receive a trophy.
