US#1 Henry Jackson boys dominate

Placing 5 in the top 27 at the Sunfair Invitational (combined results), Henry Jackson measures up to their national ranking scoring 81 points in a thumping of Northwest competitors.  With a 135 point distance between Henry Jackson and 2nd place Auburn Riverside, it is safe to say that the Timberwolves of Henry Jackson are a real threat to win the NXN National Championship in 2009.

US#3 Shadle Park girls shine

Continuing their Northwest Rampage, the highlanders score 18 points in a tempo run to topple league counterparts.  Coach Isitt and the phenominal girls are in action next at this wednesday's (14 Oct) league meet at Audubon Park in Spokane, Washington.  Milesplit Washington will provide onsite coverage as Shadle Park continues their quest for perfection and history.  If you are nearby get over to the park, because this team and season will most likely be remembered as the greatest in Washington and possibly Northwest History for girls.

Adam Thorne (Fer) and Shane Moskowitz (C.Kitsap)

Rebounding from a down week at Stanford, Adam Thorne breaks Footlocker All-American Michael Kiter's course record as he claims victory in league competition running 15:38 for 5000 meters in the unlikeliest of scenarios, wind, rain and cold!  Likewise, 2008 Footlocker Finalist Shane Moskowitz posts one of the nations fastest 5ks in 15:09 at the Fort Steilacoom Invitational  and follows that up with a 15:43 at the Curtis Invitational.

US#7 Glacier Peak solid second

Following a remarkable second place (to US#4 Torrey Pines) showing at the renowned Stanford Invitational, the grizzlies of Glacier Peak place second to US#5 Jesuit of Oregon at the Sunfair Invitational.  Glacier Peak is a remarkable top 10 National Team who has done everything right and is on the cusp of a breakthrough.

US#15 North Central back in stride

North Central gets top runner Ben Johnson (14:58) back and dominates the Richland Invitational running a 15:31 3-mile average and scores 63 points.  Kamiakin places second with 131 points.  Mt. Spokane places a solid third (151 pts) behind the amazing 3-mile victory of Allan Schroeder in 14:55.
