Senior Jonas Berhe has set himself as the Roosevelt HS power to be for the past 4 years. Coming on strong as a fresheman he quickly made his mark on the consistantly strong Roosevelt HS XC team. This year he gets to show the ropes to his freshman brother, Abaham. Well you would think he needed to be shown, Abaham showed everyone that he may have a better grasp on this thing than even his older brother. Jonas took first with a 16:22 time, Abaham 2nd with a 16:31 time.
The Berhe Brother team lead the Roosevelt XC squad to a hands down first place at the Lakewood Invitational.
The JV squad also took home a trophy, first place. It looks like the Roosevelt machine has enough fuel to grind thru things for a few more seasons.
