EVERETT - The boys cross country teams from Cascade and Jackson High School led the Everett School District to a 43-62 non-conference victory over the Mukilteo School District Thursday at McCollum Park.
Mariner\'s Dak Riek finished first in the meet with a time of 16 minutes, 38 seconds. Riek\'s time was the fourth-best ever recorded on the 3.1-mile course.
Riek finished 12 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Jonathan Cooper of Kamiak.
Despite Mukilteo having the top two finishers, Jackson coach Eric Hruschka said the Everett SD pulled away in the last half of the race. Jackson and Cascade had seven of the top 10 finishers.
