Hanford senior Keefe Brockman was named Boys Outstanding Athlete at Saturday's Southridge Relays after posting the best marks in the long, triple and high jumps.

Roundup: Lind, Coombs post 2 wins for Hermiston at Grandview Invite



GRANDVIEW -- Kersee Lind (110H, high jump) and Michelle Coombs (triple jump, javelin) were double winners for Hermiston as the Bulldogs romped to the combined team title Friday at the Grandview Invitational.

Roundup: Richland boys, girls sweep Fran Rish meet



The Richland boys and girls swept a four-team nonleague meet at Fran Rish Stadium with Hanford, Kamiakin and Pasco.

Roundup: Moses Lake's Wafer wins 200, 400 at Wenatchee meet



WENATCHEE -- Moses Lake's Aaron Wafer won the 200, 400 and finished second in the 100 during a meet won by Eastmont on Wednesday.

Roundup: Ki-Be's Leavitt runs 12.1 in girls 100



Kiona-Benton sophomore Whitney Leavitt ran a hand-timed 12.1 seconds in the 100 meters as the Bears won an SCAC dual meet with Columbia (Burbank) in Benton City.

Roundup: Richland girls dominate Ram Relay



YAKIMA -- The Richland girls won five events and had four second-place finishes en route to capturing the team title at the 39th annual Ram Relays at West Valley High.

Roundup: Walla Walla boys outrun Hermiston for Bucks Track Classic title



PENDLETON, Ore. -- Andrew Battenberg had a time of 11.56 in the 100 and 23.38 in the 200 to lead the Walla Walla boys to a win at the Bucks Track Classic.

Walla Walla Valley Academy's Opara wins 100 in Clarkston



CLARKSTON -- Chinoso Opara won the 100 in a 12.6 seconds and Nnaemeke Opara took the 200 in 24.7 seconds to lead Walla Walla Valley Academy at a meet in Clarkston.

Ten schools participated in the nonscoring Richland jamboree at Fran Rish Stadium.

Lind's double leads Hermiston to time tril win



HERMISTON -- Senior Kersee Lind won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.99 seconds and the 300s in 39.29 as Hermiston opened its season by holding the six-team Hermiston Time Trials.

Prosser football stars run quickly on Art Fiker track



PROSSER -- Cade Wandling, Cody Bruns and Aaron Galvan, who each starred at wide receivers and defensive backs for Prosser's 2006 football team, led the sprints in Thursday's four-schoold track meet at Art Fiker Stadium.
