North Central seniors, Andy kimpel, finished 2nd, Jeff Howard, 3rd, and Leon Dean 6th, lead NCXC to a 51pt win over Timpview of Utah's 115pts. NC had 4 in the top 20. Conditions on the course were very muddy after lightning delayed the start of the first race by 45 minutes. The rain poured all morning but it cleared up just after the Division I boys race. The sun was shining and warm for the elite race, but the course required some straw on one of the downhills to keep course a little safer.
There biggest competition will come on October 8th when they meet up with the Mead Panthers on our home course at Audubon Park. They have the Richland Invite the following Saturday, Oct. 11.
Oct 8 race against Mead. Last night's race was a sweep against both host East Valley and Shadle Park (15-50 both races). NC placed all seven runners well ahead of the next opponent, with two of their regular varsity runners out this week.
