US#6 TORREY PINES TAKES ELITE RACE (93:41)
Despite destroying competition over the last two weeks at major competitions in Idaho and western Washington (Silverwood Invitational/South Whidbey Invitational), Stanford Meet Directors refused to allow the amazing grizzly girls into the elite race. As a result, the Glacier Peak girls respond with action, demolishing the Division IV competition and posting what may hold up to be one of the top team performances of the day. Milesplit.us had ranked the Glacier Peak girls 14th in the nation and they backed that up with an amazing team showing!!!
We are extremely proud of the Glacier Peak girls and disappointed in the aggregious error on the part of the Stanford directors.
Freshman Amy Eloise Neale won her third straight invitational hovering around 18 minutes for 5000meters, undoubtedly skyrocketing her to the top of the Washington state individual rankings to be released next monday!!!
