GSL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS: (ONSITE COVERAGE) Spokane Valley, WA: US#3 Shadle Park rocks the girls championship race with 34 team points. The individual championship went to Mead's Baylee Mires for the second year in a row with 18:08. Shadle Park freshman Kendra Weitz was again stellar finishing second in 18:11 over 5000 meters. Defending two-time state champion Andrea Nelson finished 4th in 18:53 and teammate Katie Morris was 5th in 18:58. Team Scores: 1. Shadle park 34; 2. Central Valley 81; 3. Mead 98. In boys action Ferris escapes a narrow defeat over the defending champions with a 56-56 tie-breaker over North Central. North Central standout Ben Johnston was dominant blazing the 5k course in 15:23. Second would go to Alan Schroeder of Mt. Spokane in 15:41, 3. Andrew Gardiner, Mead, 15:46; 4. Nathan Weitz, Shadle Park, 15:48; 5. Adam Thorne, Ferris, 15:52; 6. Tim Colliton, Ferris, 15:54. Team Scores: 1. Ferris 56; 2. North Central 56; 3. Lewis & Clark 106.

GSL DISTRICT IV 3A: Battle Ground, WA: Columbia River boys and girls dominate with Kyle Boe 15:13 (CRIV) and Allison Clark 16:58 (CRIV) taking top honors on the 3 mile course.

NARROWS LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Ft. Steilacoom, WA: Gig Harbor takes both boys and girls team titles.  Central Kitsap's Shane Moskowitz (pictured right) runs an amazing 15:05 over the 5k distance with Olympia's Clare Kane posting an equally impressive 18:13 in the girls race.

GSHL 4A DISTRICT MEET: Kelso, WA: Skyview takes both boys and girls team championships!  State title favorite Priscilla Timmons posts 17:29 to take the girls individual crown.

METRO LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Lower Woodland Park, WA: Bishop Blanchet places five scorers in the top 15 and scores 41 team points to claim the league championship over Seattle Preparatory. Despite the individual victory of Drew 'Donoghue-McDonald who claimed the individual championship in 15:36, it was not enough as Seattle Prep was runner up with 60 points. Clarkie Hussey of Lakeside claims the girls individual championship in 19:42, however it was Seattle Preparatory which claims the team championship with all five scorers int he top 16 places.

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE MEET: Bellingham, WA: Burlington Edison takes boys team crown with Connor Whan (BurEd) leading the way in 15:38 for 5000 meters.  Sehome siezes the girls team crown led by standout Mimi Krieger in 18:30.

KING COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS: Issaquah, WA: In the 4A Boys, Defending State Champion Mack Young (Redmond-pictured right) claims victory in 15:53 for 5K.  In the girls race, Garfield's Anna Dailey takes the crown in 18:06.  In 3A action, Bellevue's Michael Williams wins in 15:36 and leads Bellevue to victory!  For the girls, Juanita's Tansey Lystad continues here amazing season winning in 18:27.

OLYMPIC LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Sequim, WA: The Roberts sisters lead Kingston to victory over North Kitsap by 1 point!  The individual crown goes to Ruby Roberts in 18:29 over the 5000 meter course.

CBBN 4A DISTRICT MEET: Wenatchee, WA: Richland girls and Eisenhower boys claim victory for teams, with Ike's Timothy Cummings (15:14) and Berenice Penaloza (18:09) taking individual honors.

SPSL/WCC 3A/4A SUB DISTRICT MEET:  Lakewood, WA: Penisula claims 3A boys and girls team crowns; Sensational Kenny Krotzer covers the 5k distance in 15:34 and leads the Auburn Riverside boys to the team crown.

WESCO DIVISIONAL/CASCADE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Lakewood, WA: National Championship contender Henry Jackson boys perfert score 15 with a 16:04 5000 meter average.  Jackson's Mitchell Briggs takes the boys crown in 15:54.  Girls 3A powerhouse, Glacier Peak, scores 19 points led by phenominal freshman Amy-Eloise Neal's (pictured right) 18:14 (winning by a minute).
