
Since our last rankings from June, some athletes have bettered their times and marks in July and August at national meets, while others have made massive strides during the current cross country season.
We ranked our athletes based on a tiered rating system, current MileSplit50 and MileSplit track and field and cross country rankings, state records, historical results and performances over national competition. We leaned heavily on current data.
Much of the top names remain the same with Sadie Engelhardt of Ventura, Elise Cooper of McDonogh School and Jaicieonna Gero-Holt of Emerald Ridge among the top five leading the pack.
