2A Boys State Meet Day 2: Jones 6-4 HJ, Macdonald 52-8 SP, Hass 172-3 Javelin

Cheney’s DeAngelo Jones and Ephrata’s Jerome Prescod finished next to each other in yesterday’s long jump, Prescod was 3rd and Jones 4th. Today in the high jump they finished next to each again but higher up in the standings and flip-flopped. Jones got the win by clearing 6-4 and Prescod finished second with a jump of 6-2. Then they flip-flopped again in the triple jump…Will Hallberg from South Whidbey got the win with a 46-7.5 then Prescod out jumped Jones for second with a 46-6 to Jones’s 44-4.

 

Ryan Macdonald from Sehome held serve by winning the shot with a 55-1.25. The state 2A leader came into meet with a best throw 56-8 and bested today’s competitors by nearly three feet. Second place was John Fullington from North Mason with a 52-8.

 

Stephen Hass from Eatonville got the win the javelin with a throw of 172-3.

 

Logan Packard from Mt. Baker got the win in 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.09 into a pretty good headwind. Cody Peterson from Black Hills was second with a 15.40.
