Yonatan Yilma
Yilma, a junior, set a course record at Lynndale Park in Lynnwood to help the Warriors beat three WesCo South teams and capture the Edmonds School District title on Thursday. He ran the 2.75-mile course in 14 minutes, 44 seconds, beating the previous record by 15 seconds. The old record was set in 2002 and tied in 2003.

Monroe girls cross-country
Davis, a junior, set a course record at Stanwood High School in a four-school WesCo meet on Thursday. She won the 3-mile race with a time of 18 minutes, 42 seconds, besting the previous record by two seconds.
