Cameron Stanish might be the best unknown sub 15 minute 5K and sub 9 minute 3200 meter runner in the country. So many great runners last year and this year returning in the state of Washington with the likes of Tanner Anderson and John Dressel that it is easy for a runner such as the Gar-Field High School rising senior Stanish to somehow get overlooked. Stanish is coming off a fantastic finish to his outdoor season in winning the Washington 4A state 3200 meter title to go along with a 4:09 PR in the 1600 meter run. Stanish will not get to see Anderson nor Dressel in the state meet being in different classifications (but should face off in invitationals and post-season races). He will still have his hands full trying to win his first cross country title with other top returneesTristan Peloquin from Gig Harbor and Michael Williams from Richland High School, who both finished ahead of Stanish (6th) in last year's 4A state cross country race.
