
With Alexa Efraimson's status still up in the air as far as if she will be running for her high school this fall, it may be time for some of the other elite high school runners in Washington who have been chasing her for the past few seasons to step up into that spotlight opening including Gig Harbor's Brenna Peloquin. Peloquin claimed the Washington 4A state 3200 meter outdoor title this past spring and her 17:40 5K performance from the Sundodger Invite last September ranking her as the second fastest returning cross country runner in the state behind only Efraimson.
