WENATCHEE -- With two tough wins by a total of eight points, West Valley's girls opened their Columbia Basin League 3A cross country season on Tuesday at Walla Walla Point Park.
The Rams edged Hanford 26-29 and Kamiakin 25-30 with the help of an individual win by Lisa Olander.
In non-league crossover duals, West Valley went 3-1 against 4A teams.
At Pasco, Eisenhower's boys cruised to a 2-0 start with wins over Pasco and Davis.
