Other Track and Field: Larson goes out in record style

Jane Larson broke the meet record in the 1,600.
CHENEY — Jane Larson claimed the ninth and 10th individual state titles of her high-school career, leading Bothell\'s Cedar Park Christian to the Class 1A girls track-and-field team championship Saturday.
Larson won the 1,600 meters for the fourth consecutive year, and set a 1A state-meet record of 5 minutes, 1.61 seconds. Cedar Park Christian teammate Abby Jermasek was second.
Larson also ran away with the 800 on Saturday, and ran on the winning 1,600 relay that set a meet record (4:02.95). On Thursday, she won the 3,200 for the consecutive straight year.
Cedar Park Christian (96 points) was followed by girls runner-up Charles Wright (76) and defending champion Seattle Academy (70). Zillah won the 1A boys team title.
The 2A, 1A and B championships all concluded at Eastern Washington University.
Other highlights:
Class 2A
• Pullman swept the boys and girls team titles. The King\'s girls were fourth.
• Klahowya junior Sam Rucker swept the boys 100 and 200.
• Archbishop Murphy junior Nick Snyder won the boys 110 hurdles in 14.89. Danny Sullivan of Foster took the 300 hurdles.
Class 1A
• Seattle Academy\'s Will Moseley edged fellow sophomore Jasen Brown of Brewster in the boys 800 by .23 of a second.
• Seattle Academy\'s Jade Langston was runner-up in the girls 100 hurdles in a photo finish with winner Lauren Mellor of Colfax.
Class B
• Jeff Gudaitis, who won the boys 400 for Tacoma Baptist on Friday, came back to take the 200. The Crusaders swept the boys and girls championships.
• Bear Creek sophomore Kimi Pohlman won the girls 100 and anchored the winning 800 relay.
