SEATTLE, Wash. - Sophomore Mike Arnold posted a career-high jump of 17-7.75 in the pole vault Saturday at the University of Washington Final Qualifier. Arnold's mark placed him in a five-way tie for second place. Arnold's previous best mark was 17-3.75, recorded at the Big Sky Conference Championship. Today's vault of 17-7.75 is another NCAA provisional mark for Arnold and is just 4.75 inches away from the NCAA automatic mark.
