Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships 2011

The first day of action came to a close at the 2011 MPSF Indoor Championships on Friday night with the Arizona State University women holding a lead in the overall team race while the men sit fifth in the event being held at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle.

The men's distance medley relay and LaTisha Holden ran a school records and Hannah Moen and Chris McSwain won individual event titles as both the University of Arizona's No. 14 men's and No. 12 women's track and field teams sit fourth after the first day of competition at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships in Seattle.

The Husky track teams had solid first days at the MPSF Championships at the Dempsey Indoor. Washington had seven new program Top-10 marks with the bulk of the points to be divied up on Saturday.

Freshman Ida Storm easily captured her first indoor conference crown in the 20-lb weight throw on day one of the MPSF Championships in Seattle, WA.

Freshman Chioma Amaechi took runner-up honors in the women's weight throw, while Mike Morrison leads after the first four events of the heptathlon to pace California's efforts on the opening day of competition at the MSPF Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Greg Woepse highlighted the men's track and field team on day one of the MPSF Indoor Championships in Seattle, WA as the senior captured the pole vault crown.
