Wolfgang placed second & Tristan finished third at Westside.
Many runners in western Washington qualified for next week’s State meet at the Westside Classic on Saturday. Leading the way were Foot Locker National Finalist Maddie Meyers, who won the 1A division in a time of 18:09 on the reconfigured course. Jordan McPhee of Mt. Rainier topped a strong field in the 4A division, which included 2nd place finisher Alexis Fuller & 3rd place Rachel Atwood, with her time of 18:12. Alexa Efraimson of Camas led the 3A girls with her 18:09 clocking, while Marina Roberts topped 2A with her time of 18:22. Korey Krotzer led the way in the 4A boys’ field with his time of 15:30, as Gig Harbor runners Wolfgang Beck & Tristan Peloquin earned 2nd & 3rd. Izaic Yorks of Lakes topped the 3A guys with his time of 15:22 & Marcus Dickson garnered the @a Boys’ crown with 16:05. In team action the Gig Harbor guys dominated the 4A division with a low of 39 points. The Bellarmine girls edged Tahoma in the 4A girls’ race 77 to 79. Camas & Interlake won the 3A & 2Agirls’ title respectively, while Camas & Lindbergh topped the 3A & 2A boys’ divisions.
