Herald staff EVERETT -- The Stanwood girls used nine first-place finishes to place first Thursday night in a Wesco North tri-meet at Everett Memorial Stadium against Snohomish and host Cascade. "For an opening meet there were a lot of good performances," Cascade coach Steve Bertrand said, "Stanwood scored across the board ... (And) they had nice depth." Stanwood racked up 75 team points; Snohomish placed second, sweeping the high and long jumps to post 68, and Cascade used strong performances from Brittney Jones, Samantha Taylor and Breanna Huschka to finish third with 49.
