Bergman leads Bulldogs to runaway

PROSSER — With Isak Bergman's 30-second victory leading the way, Ellensburg's boys powered to a runaway team win in Saturday's 12-team Prosser Invitational cross country meet.
Bergman, a senior, zipped over the 2.9-mile course in 15 minutes, 15 seconds and the Bulldogs placed four runners in the top 10 en route to a 27-point victory.
East Valley's Jeff Knutson was second overall and helped the Red Devils edge Hanford for second.
Hanford claimed the girls title with the help of Megan Dart's individual win. Sunnyside's Brittany Messmore was the top local in third.
