USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships

Last Saturdays JO Regional XC meet in Sandy Oregon, features Western Washington's winning Intermediate girls team that will be representing the region at the JO XC National Championships in Lawrence, Kansas on Dec. 8th.  The girls of the winning Intermediate team was made up of State qualifiers from high schools Sehome, Sumner, Woodinville, Bonney Lake, Auburn Riverside and Gov. John Rogers.
 
Also, other local girls qualified individually such as Allison Cutting, Kalee Cipra, Ashley Nichols, Stevie Gildehaus, Veronica Stinnett, Alex Rudd, Breanna Huschka, Kayla Schick, Alanna Steele, Hannah McKenzie, Kayley Turner.  Aslo check out the results to see local Washington high school boys that qualified as individuals as well,
 
 
You think the Border Clash was windy you should have been at Sandy, Oregon the day before and seen how windy, wet & muddy this course was.  The course was more of an obstacle course of survival than anything else.  Although the kids had to work harder at running in ankle deep mud at times, they wore the mud proudly as a badge of honor after the race.
