Ballard HS Takes Fort Worden Trophies

Fort Warden Invitational sees records break and a great day. Ballard HS Boys and Girls ran away with the entire trophy table Saturday at Fort Warden. Both Varsity teams took first place, all teams posted great times and watched some great performances. Bevan Taylor of Bainbridge and Quinton Decker of Port Townsend both cracked the course record of 16:24. Bevan set first with a 16:19, 3 seconds ahead of PT. Alex Barkley of Ballard came in third leading his team to a first place post. Bridget Berg of Ballard was a full 46 seconds ahead of the girls pack, finishing just 4 seconds shy of the course record and leading her team to a first place win.
